Complete an ACBL convention card with your partner before you play.

Before you play#
A convention card is a summary of your partnership agreements. Both members of a partnership carry identical cards, and opponents may consult them. In most events you should have a completed card ready before the first round.
Filling one out#
- Agree your opening bids and notrump ranges with your partner.
- Mark your responses, competitive agreements, and carding (leads and signals).
- Note any conventions that require an alert or announcement.
What's permitted#
Which agreements you may play depends on the event's convention chart. The Convention Charts & Alert Procedures set out what each chart allows, and the event's Conditions of Contest 2.1 name the chart in force.
