Set up stratified club games in ACBLscore

Choose your strats#

Stratification lets players compete against others with similar experience. In ACBLscore, set the number of strats and the masterpoint boundaries for the game. Boundaries are usually based on each pair's average holding.

Assign strat letters#

1. Open the game in ACBLscore and choose Stratify.
2. Enter the upper masterpoint limit for strat B and strat C (strat A is open).
3. ACBLscore assigns each pair to the correct strat from the players' masterpoint holdings.
4. Verify the assignment before the first round; it cannot change once boards are played.

Awards#

Stratified awards are computed per strat under Masterpoint Regulations 7.3 — Award tables (table 7.3b). The stratification rules themselves are in the Conditions of Contest 5.4.
