2.5 Membership dues#

The Board sets annual membership dues. Junior members pay one-half of the standard rate, effective 1 January 2027, as adopted by Board motion 261-13.

4.1 Zonal events#

Zonal championship events are conducted under the Conditions of Contest for the zone in which they are held. Where the Conditions of Contest 2.1 — Conditions for the event and this chapter differ, the Conditions of Contest govern for that event.

4.2 Masterpoint awards#

Masterpoint awards for NABC+ events are governed by this section together with the Masterpoint Regulations 7.3 — Award tables.

4.2.1 Overall awards#

Overall masterpoint awards for NABC+ events shall be computed according to the tables in Masterpoint Regulations 7.3 — Award tables, except where the Conditions of Contest 2.1 for the event provide otherwise.

Where an event is restricted by masterpoint holding, the award shall be scaled by the factor set out in table 7.3c. No overall award may exceed the award for first place in the corresponding unrestricted event.

4.2.2 Session awards#

Session awards are computed per session on the ratings in force for the event, and are not affected by the overall scaling factor in 4.2.1.

4.2.3 Award limits#

No single event may award more than the limit published for its rating. Overages are reduced proportionally across all placements.

4.3 Seeding#

Seeding of NABC+ events follows the seeding point formula maintained by the Tournament department. Seeding is advisory to the Director-in-Charge.

4.4 Appeals procedure#

Appeals from rulings in NABC+ events are heard under the procedure in the Conditions of Contest and the Laws of Duplicate Bridge.
